At the end of 1990's we had a remarkable proud history unrivalled not even by Manchester United. 20 Years down the line, Manchester United are odds on favourite to win the Premier League Trophy #19.
After 1990's, change of Ownership and Managers didn't do much help for LFC until Gerard Houllier came to our club and brought back at least our habit of winning trophies consistently which includes winning 5 trophies in 2001. Then came Rafa Benitez (in his 1st season as LFC Manager) helped LFC win the European Champions League for the 5th time and no one will ever forget that memorable Istanbul Night.
Since the arrival of George Gillet and Tom Hicks, we have won nothing and we are going through nearly 4 years of barren season with no trophies to show. In buying our club; these American yanks brought with them nearly 240 Million Pound Debts and never came to close to paying off those huge debts.
As a result of those debts, Rafa Benitez was forced to buy players from selling our good players like Xabi Alonso. The new players that were brought in weren't half as good as those players that left. The gaping hole left behind by Xabi Alonso is still felt by our Midfield and the opposition is making good use of our midfield disability.
The Yanks had crazy ideas of their own and who would forget the whole Gareth Barry-Robbie Keane Saga. Rafa was desperate to buy Gareth Barry and Robbie Keane instead of buying only Robbie Keane. The whole idea was to use Gareth Barry alongside our Steven Gerard in central midfield...with both creating Goal scoring passes for our Fernando Torres and Robbie Keane. Then of course...everyone knows nothing happened besides Robbie Keane playing for our club and was sold back to Tottenham Hotspur just 6 months later.
With not enough money to buy World Class Players, Rafa Benitez left LFC fuming and NOT FIRED as thought by few. Enter the scene "Roy Hogdson". The final gift from Messer George Gillet and Tom Hicks. Still thanks to Messer George and Tom, we have our Fernando "El Nino' Torres and that's all we have to show as World Class Player besides our Steven Gerard and Pepe Reina.
Around mid November-December 2010 (and not to mention 4 years of frustration of not winning a single trophy), as welcome sign of relief John W. Henry and Tom Werner brought our club paying off the huge debt that was turning to be a monkey on our club's back. Of course; no one wants to be reminded of the Horrible Managerial Record of Roy Hogdson with an appalling away record of losing countless matches and after just 6 months, Roy Hodgson left LFC. Thank heavens...as our club were only going DOWNHILL.
Everyone wonders how in the world did a manager like Roy Hodgson (without winning a single trophy at any club and an appalling Managerial record of losing countless away matches) became Manager of LFC??? Forgetting all that...saving our club from plunging into unimaginable depths (relegation)...our legendary Kenny Dalglish (coincidentally the last player and manger to win the 18th premiership trophy for our club) became our club manager on January, 2011.
It's time to build on our history and no one better than our very own legendary Kenny Dalglish to bring our LFC back not just to winning ways but back to winning Premierships and European Champions League. For that to happen, it's time for our new American Owners John W. Henry and Tom Werner to support Kenny Dalglish to buy World Class Players recommended by Kenny Dalglish. So splashing cash and recouping money from players who are misfits in our club are one of the ways to go.
Also with an eye for future; it's bringing budding future Young World Class Players and helping them develop in our club, can keep our winning culture going. All these with effective World Marketing-Advertising Strategies can bring about huge revenues for our club which in turn help in expanding our LFC Fan's base all around the world and not to mention build a bigger stadium for our ever increasing LFC Fans from all around the world.
For all that to happen...now is the time to build on our history. YNWA
